Toledo – On April 23, 33-year-old Grace McCarron from Loveland finished first in the women’s division of the Mercy Health Glass City Marathon with a time of 2:46:24. Her mile pace was 6:21.

Grace was chased by her sister, Emma McCarron, 30, from Mansfield who finished 2nd with a time of 2:46:42.

The race has been held since 1971.


One of the fastest marathon courses in the Midwest, and top 25 fastest marathons in the country, the Mercy Health Glass City Marathon (GCM) course takes you into the area’s finest Metropark system utilizing the paved University Parks Trail, with a tour through Sylvania leading past Olander Park, the home of Sy Mah’s statue, then back down the trail to campus, and the big finish on the field in UT’s Glass Bowl Stadium.
