This afternoon (Sunday, March 15) our administration received the latest briefing on the seriousness of the evolving Coronavirus situation by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. Adhering to decrees, legal mandates, and safety guidelines presented by the Ohio government and Governor DeWine, and out of extreme concern for all members of our school community, we have made the decision that the Indian Hill School District will enact additional social distancing measures to maximize the safety and health of all.

We make this decision understanding the disruption this extended closure of campus will cause, and we ask for your continued patience as we all work to navigate this critical situation together. Governor DeWine was unable to specifically address how long the K-12 school closure will last; we are preparing, based on his general recommendations, for the closure to last beyond April 5.

For our Brave parents:

Medication & Medical Supplies
If you have not already done so, we ask that you sign out necessary student medications and medical supplies as we prepare for a long term closure between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday, March 16. You can do this by coming to District Office, and an administrator will escort you to your student’s building.

Food Delivery
Indian Hill is working hard to ensure that all students of Indian Hill Schools 18 years old and under – regardless of their situation – have food to eat. Click here to access a survey that will let District administrators know if your student(s) need food.

Please continue to monitor the District website for the latest school-related information as this situation unfolds. Click here to access our Coronavirus Information webpage, which will provide you with the most recent announcements, and provide you helpful CDC reference links.

As a reminder:

• Campus will be and remain closed through April 5.
• During this time, access to all facilities, including athletic fields, will be restricted for staff, students, parents, and community members.
• Students should be ready to engage in distance learning beginning March 31, and the District will issue additional communication providing additional details prior to March 30.
• Only essential operational staff members will be allowed to access our facilities following Monday, March 16.

We appreciate all of our Braves. We will provide regular updates.

In service to our children,
Kirk Koennecke
Superintendent
Indian Hill School District
