Loveland and Hamilton Township, Ohio – Is that time of year again and the Candy Police are back! You can help them patrol. They are on the lookout for not only donations of Haloween candy, but those you may know who would benefit from a special house call.

Our columnist Casse Mattia wrote last year, “It’s that spooky time of year again when all the little ghouls and goblins are running amuck in search of the best candy! Well, thankfully the Candy Police are back and ready to make sure EVERYONE is able to enjoy Trick-or-Treating!”

The two police departments want to make Halloween a special day for “special” children and adults in the two communities.

If you live in the City of Loveland or Hamilton Township limits, and you’d like an officer to visit and bring candy to your loved one with a disability or special needs, contact Lieutenant Mike Szpak at 513-707-6116 or [email protected] with your loved one’s name, address, and your phone number. They will accept requests through October 30th.

They will be making visits on October 31st between 6 and 8 PM.

Please also contact Lt Mike to coordinate your donations for the Candy Police visits!

Loveland Magazine suggests besides healthy treats like apples and oranges, some great big chocolate bars, and full-size Three Musketeers and Reese Cups!

Cassie added, “The Loveland Police Department and the Hamilton Township Police Department will be working together this Halloween in order to bring joy and of course candy to any children or adults with special needs who can’t physically go trick-or-treating. Could Loveland get any sweeter?! Want to help the Candy Police spread the Halloween spirit?!”

Please contact Lieutenant Szpak to donate any “deliciously creepy treats” – as Cassie the Halloween lover would describe them!

The Candy Police were a great success last year!
