Celebrate Your Independence at the Firecracker Festival at Home of the Brave Park on SUNDAY, JULY 3RD!
The Firecracker Festival gets underway at 3:00 p.m. and will feature live music on stage, a family friendly area for children, a variety of food and vendor booths, beverages, fireworks, and much more!

KidsZone

3-8 p.m. Children’s inflatable’s, Petting Zoo (3:30-7:30pm), face painting, sand art, playground and waterpark, firetruck, and more!

Live Music and Entertainment:

  • 6:30 p.m. “Celebrity” Pie Eating Contest

  • 7 p.m. Flag Retirement Ceremony: Boy Scout Troop 888 will collect flags and conduct this ceremony during the event. Please bring your frayed or torn flags to donate to future flag burning ceremonies.

Children’s Bike & Dog Parade

6 p.m. Get out your streamers, pinwheels and flags and bring your decorated bikes, scooters, wagons and strollers, along with your kids and dogs in their best costume! Prizes to be awarded for each. Parade will take place from the Veteran’s Memorial to the Playground. Register above to participate.

Yellow Ribbon Support Center

Help support the men and women serving in harm’s way by providing items for Care Packages (Donation bins will be at the event). Click here to view the Wish List. Click here to learn more about the Yellow Ribbon Support Center.

Military Vehicles will be on display

Featuring “Matt’s Ride,” the rock crawler, built in honor of Matt Maupin, the 724th Transportation Co. and all POW/MIA and “Ride Z-REX,” a 1981 military truck that was completely redone by the Red River Army Depot in 2010.

Ample parking available at Home of the Brave Park and Symmes Park across the street

Volunteers

Volunteer opportunities are available! Contact the Chamber office if interested at 683-1544.

Bring your chairs and blankets and setup on the lawn to enjoy the entertainment and fireworks! No outside coolers permitted.
