A Press Release from the Friends of the Little Miami State Park:
The section of the Little Miami Trail next to the Peters Cartridge Factory (mile marker 35.0 to 35.5) that has been closed on weekdays over the last six weeks is now open for public use. Soil remediation work at the site will continue, however, through the summer, so the chain link fence will remain in place on each side of the trail at the site. Later in the summer, perhaps in July, there may be occasional closings on weekdays as needed.
A progress report on work done at the site through early May is attached to this email. Further updates may be accessed on the Friends of the Little Miami State Park website (www.littlemiamistatepark.org) and the FLMSP Facebook page (www.facebook.com/FriendsLMSP). The special trail closing hotline number for the Peters work site will also provide recorded updates for future closings (513-552-7030).
